Every bitcoin wallet is built on a chain of secrets. Each level is generated from the one above — and that process is irreversible.
Your master backup. Write it on paper — never photograph it, type it into a phone, or save it online. Anyone who has these words controls your bitcoin.
Generated from your seed phrase. You use it to prove you own your bitcoin when you want to send it. Never share it with anyone.
Calculated from your private key through a one-way mathematical process. You cannot work backwards from this to find the private key.
Derived from your public key. This is what you share with others so they can send you bitcoin — like an email address.
A wallet is just an app that manages your keys. Your bitcoin doesn't actually live inside the app — it lives on the blockchain. The app is just the key ring.
